Watch design at fossil
The following includes a variety of work from my time as Fossil as a watch designer, primarily on the Women’s watch design team. More specifically my roles included, seasonal concepting, color/material development, as well owning 8 watch platforms, strap bar program, and the customization platform. The project I’m most pround of from my time at Fossil was our collaboration with Opening Ceremony.
Additionally, I provided creative direction for the Fossil Eyewear line, helped out with some hardware design on the handbag team, and was involved in the jewelry design team. Started and hosted seasonal concepting workshops, bringing cross-functional teams together. Mentored two interns. Over the course of two years, my time at Fossil came to a close when I made my big move to NYC to further my design career.
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT. One of my favorite steps to starting a new project is laying out and spelling out the vision and inspiration. Here’s some examples of mood, persona, material, and design direction boards I’ve created.
Various watch design work
Here are some of the watches I worked on that made it to market
Fossil x Opening Ceremony Designed two custom timepieces for this multi-season partnership. I helped bring the collection's "wearable art" concept to life by balancing Opening Ceremony’s unique runway style with Fossil’s everyday functionality.
Sylvia Timepiece - this watch concept focused on clean lines and a distinct personality. I designed it to find the perfect balance between a timeless relic, everyday wear and detailed function.
